Foreword by the Mayor


It is an honour for me to present this annual report for the 2007/08 financial year which reflects the work and commitment of the collective political and administrative leadership of the Lephalale Local Municipality, given the mounting sociol-economic challenges that flow from the substantial economic investment by Eskom’s construction of Medupi electricity power station which has necessitated the expansion of Exxaro coal mine.
